Arthur is an international development project management and evaluation specialist with a Master of Assessment and Evaluation from the University of Melbourne in Australia. Prior to joining REMO he worked as a senior monitoring and evaluation consultant and manager at Price Waterhouse Coopers. Before this Arthur had for ten years worked in project management and specialized in monitoring and evaluation in Rwanda and Uganda public sectors and for local NGO’s and international organizations. As an M&E specialist he has worked for Sida and World Bank funded projects through his employment carrier. As a private consultant Arthur specializes in designing M&E systems, conducting program evaluations and different researches and studies mainly focused on establishing or enhancing developmental project’s effectiveness and efficiency. He provides consultancy and advisory services in various sectors including but not limited to agriculture, education, health, governance, environment, ICT4D, public finance and private sector development among others. He has vast experience in consulting for donor funded projects including those from the One UN, World Bank, European Union, dfid, USAID, GIZ, EKN, CIDA, AGRA and NGOs including, World Vision, CHF, Trocaire, AFR, AEGIS and the private sector. Arthur has worked in both developed and developing countries with experience in the Netherlands, Australia, South Africa, Rwanda, Uganda, Kenya, Burundi, Tanzania and others. In addition to his specialization Arthur also has extensive experience in public procurement, grant proposal writing, strategic planning and capacity building.


Solomon is a market research specialist with Bachelors in Quantitative Economics and is a Certified Service Provider for MicroSave market research tool kits and methods. He has a natural curiosity about behavioral characteristics that inform a consumer’s purchase decision and how these factors can be catered for in the development of various product and services. Solomon has worked as a Financial Officer for a leading Ugandan minority focused institution (Uganda Women’s Finance Trust now Finance Trust Ltd) before being their Research & Development officer. He managed Fideli Management and Advertising agency before Joining REMO. During his career as a market research consultant, Solomon has facilitated the set-up and development of products and services for various regional brands and industries including; Lion Assurance-Uganda, Dstv- Uganda, Rwenzori mineral water - a subsidiary of SABMiller, MTN-Group, NTV-Group, Dfcu Bank, Xfm - a subsidiary of Vision Group and Kinazi Cassava Plant in Rwanda. Solomon has over 10 years also developed advisory skills in social enterprises and their requisite social marketing.


David is a social economics and management consultant with a Master of Management from the University of Witwatersrand, South Africa. Prior to Joining REMO he served in various public and private institutions in Rwanda including the Ministry of Trade and Commerce, Private sector Federation and Ministry of Finance and Economic Planning. At these institutions, David served a both a program manager and M&E consultant for over 10 years. David has also worked as a private consultant for the last 7 years, during which he has conducted various evaluations, design of M&E systems and provided directorial program management advice in various sectors including mainly the environmental and private sector development sectors. He has also conducted studies in areas of social protection, justice, agriculture, ICT4D, energy and gender. David also possess advanced technical skills in strategic planning and capacity building for long-term program design and management.


Zainab is a full-time senior associate consultant with REMO. She is a project manager on most of our consultancy assignments with a Master of Development Studies from the Erasmus University Rotterdam. Zainab worked with different United Nations agencies including IFAD, UNAID and UNFPA before joining REMO. As a consultant with REMO she has conducted various research and evaluation studies in which she is the social development expert in the areas of sustainable poverty reduction and international development. She is a dexterous data analyst specialized in the areas of gender mainstreaming, HIV/AIDS prevention and inclusive social-economic development. She has provided many of our clients with project management and planning advisory services including UNDP, Trocaire, CHF and UNFPA. In addition to these consultancy services Zainab has advanced skills in participatory research and capacity building activities.


Medard is an HIV/AIDS Fellow (award winner for excellent performance) of Makerere University School of Public Health (MUSPH) and Centres for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). He holds a Master’s of Science Degree (MSc) in Community Health and Health Management from the University of Heidelberg (Germany) and a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work and Social Administration from Makerere University and has over twenty years working experience in Community Health.  Medard is highly experienced in project design and management, community development approaches, participatory training, research methodologies (quantitative and qualitative), monitoring and evaluation of programs. He has also conducted a number of performance management assignments including: baselines, mid-term reviews and end of project evaluations for various local and international organizations in the areas of Public Health both at REMO and other team engagements.


Fiona is one of REMO’s many international associate consultants who provide specialized consultancy advisory services for specific assignments. She is an M&E expert with close to 15 years’ experience in the field of international development. Fiona has a Master of Science in international development and management from the University of Lund, Sweden and other degrees in sociology and economics. As a consultant she has provided M&E coaching and capacity building services to several public, private international organizations in sub-Saharan Africa and beyond. Fiona has recently been providing her M&E consultancy support to UNDP, IOM, IFAD, MINAGRI, DFID, CRECO, NCBS and has also served as a guest lecturer at the National University of Rwanda.


Miriam is a Strategy development and organizational realignment specialist. She spends most of her time involved in Civil Society Strengthening, promoting civic engagement, issue driven campaigning, and supporting general development programming. With over 15 years of work experience in Orphans and vulnerable children (OVC), Emergency and governance programming, she provides capacity building for organization’s and companies interested in understanding how to carry out SDG influencing, policy review and analysis, outcome harvesting and other program delivery approaches within National and International organizations. She possess a Master’s of science(Msc) in Public policy and management of University of Birmingham , United Kingdom, a Post graduate diploma in project planning and Management of Uganda management Institute, A bachelor’s degree in social sciences and a degree in Education of Makerere and Kyambogo university respectively. She has most recently been supporting Universities design masters programs in Public administration and understanding of Local government reform processes.


Meghan is one of REMO’s many international associate consultants who provide specialized consultancy and advisory services for specific assignments. She has Masters degrees in Public Administration – International development and Sociology – Gender studies from Cornell and New Orleans Universities, respectively. With over 14 years of professional experience, Meaghan provides services throughout East Africa and globally in project design, grants proposal and report writing, strategic planning, capacity building and coaching. Meaghan has designed several projects focused on early childhood development and orphans and other vulnerable children, in post-conflict countries. Her specialty is largely in post-conflict regions with an emphasis on education, economic development and reproductive health and rights for girls. Meghan is a writer/editor as well as technical advisor and teacher, building the capacity of organizations to create compelling narratives to reach learning, fundraising, marketing and outreach goals. She is adept at authoring seamless and coherent final documents across a range of thematic areas.


Louise is one of REMO’s many international associate consultants who provide specialized consultancy and advisory services for specific assignments. She has a Master’s degree in social anthropology of development and over 13 years of experience in international development program management with extensive experience in childhood development policy, planning, management and evaluation. She is specialized in development of child’s rights protection guidelines and policies, research in children’s development and protections and evaluation of projects which support early childhood development. Louise provides consultancy services in mainly the East and West African regions, Asia and the UK. In these areas she has provided her services to various clients including Save the Children, VSO, CAFOD, USAID among others.


Alpha is one of REMO’s many local associate consultants who provide specialized consultancy and advisory services for specific assignments. She has a Master’s degree in economic competitiveness and international business from the University of Birmingham, UK and close to 13 years of experience in international development, specific to private sector development and communications management. As a consultant she provides private sector development and communications management advisory services. Alpha has provided strategic advisory and capacity building services to SMEs, NGOs and international agencies. She has recently offered her consultancy services independently and through REMO for clients including the National Gender Monitoring office, EDIFY Inc., AFR, IFC, The World Bank and Rwandatel among others.


James is one of REMO’s many international associate consultants who provide specialized consultancy and advisory services for specific assignments. James is a financial management expert with Masters of Business Administration from the University of Nairobi. He is also a Certified Enterprise Development Agent (EDA), Certified Information systems auditor (CISA) and Certified public accountant (CPA). Before joining private consultancy, James worked as a manager in prestigious auditing firms including PriceWaterhouseCoopers, PKF and MTK. He has close to 10 years of professional experience working with Governments, development partners and non-governmental organizations in the region with extensive experience in conducting assessments, project audit, financial audit, surveys, financial advisory on public private partnership, studies and other monitoring and evaluation assignments. He also has experience in preparation of procedure manuals and training in the public sector. Over the years he has garnered experience working in Rwanda, Kenya, Ethiopia, Zambia, Somalia, Tanzania, DR Congo, Sudan and Eritrea serving various clients such as UNDP, UNICEF, PSF, The World Bank, ICF, DFID, SNV, EKN and many others.


Chris is one of REMO’s many international associate consultants who provide specialized consultancy and advisory services for specific assignments. Chris is a financial management expert with a Bachelor of Commerce from Kenyatta University and is a Certified public accountant (CPA). Before joining private consultancy, Chris worked as a senior auditor in private auditing firms including Deloitte and Goldrock consulting group. He has 15 years of professional experience working with Governments, development partners and the private sector in the region. Chris has extensive experience in corporate finance and performance improvement of organizations involving review of business processes, product costing, preparing financial projections. He has conducted feasibility studies, development of strategy, business plans and business valuations. He has trained in financial modeling and has gained advanced skills in Excel reporting. Chris is well versed in financial reporting, financial management of strategy, budgets and financial data management. He has monitored departments and processes to ensure compliance both for the internal controls, policies and external regulators. Has worked with various accounting systems including Access, Navision, Sage Pastel and Quick books.
